Ok guys,

A complete mishmash here. There isn't really a theme, but I would appreciate your comments as to which work and which don't.

They all work for me especially the last two. Great shots.

Matt,
The horse is way too garish, but I do like the others, ESPECIALLY the 2nd last one (reflection) - there's a classic feel to that one, but i don't really know why

Nice images Matt. I especially like the 4th one - very well spotted. I wonder what impact it would have if you reversed (mirrored) the image?

2 definately doesn't work.
1&2 probably would of been better in the colors thread. The shot of that gravity ride would of probably looked better if it exhibited signs of speed, a bit of motion blur via a slow shutter. You might be able to recreate this in PP, might require a bit of work as you want only the trailing edge to be blurred.

I'm going to be boring, #4 is my pick out of the bunch :)

Good ones Matt,

I really like #4, well caught and the b&w really works

The last two are just brilliant, Matt. Nothing beats B&W images! Love 'em! Simple, uncluttered, and with emotion.....great stuff!

Matt

#4 by a mile - awesome creative eye - I'd have walked straight past this  Dare I say "sublime"

Then #5 and #2. The horse doesn't work and I think it would be hard to get it to do so because the background is so busy (I should know since I took about ten shots of this that were all stinkers during the AW weekend)

Without a doubt, #4 is the best of the lot (IMO). Great composition. Well done ... keep it up.

Nice mishmash Matt!

Last two definitely. If they were mine, they'd be up on my wall.

:D :D :D

Thank you for the great feedback guys and gals.
So #4 is ok - I think it could perhaps do with a little bit of a contrast boost.

The horse pic I was dubious about, liked the colour, but agree about the overly busy background.
I took a couple of shots of grafitti around surry hills, purley for the magnificent colours. I like #2 but perhaps the composition could be stronger.

Nice idea about the blur on the ride kipper. I might just go back and reshoot it like that because I don't think I could recreate the effect convincingly in PS.

Many thanks again people.

Nice thought behind the last two
I'm a sucker for reflections and spatial dimension.
Keep the designers eye.

Matt,
You shouldn't post colour and B&W together :) I like first one but B&Ws are distracting an eye from the colour photos.

Both B&W are superb
