Willy, I too like this shot and your use of b&w.
I notice you have got ev set to underexpose by one third stop. Do you always have it set this way or do you vary it? The reason I ask is that I think when using A or S modes, I am over exposing slightly and I've been considering always underexposing by a third or a half stop, especially when there's a lot of sand, sky, surf or other highlights in the shot. I shoot raw but I figure it's best to try to get correct exposure and wb in camera rather than trying to fix it later. John - I tend to use the underexposure setting when there is a lot of reflective things and i am trying not to blow the highlights. (Helpful - when i remember) I shoot in raw too, so i can do the same thing in PP, but i guess its good to get it right first time around.
You should have a play around with it Steve (Nikon D200/D700)
