I think it would help if you told us what your PP work was then we can give an opinion :D

Willy wombat,

In my humble opinion colouring this photo the way you have done doesn't really work for me. But then I am not a great fun of that kind of work and it is really only my personal taste.

I recon if you are keen to keep this direction just keep going and master it. At the end of day everything is possible :)

Regards,

K.Polak

Ok, who dropped the blue loo in the ocean?

Have you tried a B/W conversion with this image? As it is there is no great indication of contrast which detracts. It may look better on your monitor than it does here.

Was away this weekend so i didnt get a chance to follow up on this.

B+W conversion using gorman version, and then adjusted blue chanel and saturation from the horizon down.

TMany thanks to all others who gave an opinion. Kipper - you made me laugh

The colouring doesn't really work for me, I think the blue foam in the centre of the shot looks a bit weird.

I guess it was taken with the kit lens? The barrel distortion is pretty bad on this lens at the wide end, maybe consider correcting the curved horizon in PS.

Cheers

For my liking, it is just a little too blue. Also, the water seems to be a bit dark and could use some more contrast (at least on this monitor anyway - not sure if this is the same for everyone else ?). If this was brightened to give the foreground some detail, I feel it would lift the image dramatically.

Just my opinion though :)

Have you thought about keeping the sky AND the cliff in B&W, with the water coloured blue ? Perhaps another option
