This is actually one of my favourite flowers and it's probably the first shot I've seen of them on here.
With that in mind, the image feels like it's lacking depth and quite soft. What's your EXIF data like for it?

I agree with the softness but I feel that to be my fault in downsizing from the original file. My skills in making for a small but viewable file is lacking but I will improve.

yes this plant is high on my list to photograph ... what beautiful colours it has ... but i agree this photograph does lack some life ! maybe some levels work .. where did you find it ?

That's a beautiful flower...
What process did you use when downsizing??? Did you apply any sharpening? It might help...
