Yes this is a drop of the Really Right Stuff - Sigma 12-24mm shot in a cocoon. Comments are welcome.

Is it just me or does it look a bit grainy? :) Might be intentional, or could just be me.
Love it regardless Chris. I'd so like a cocoon.

Did you have to drink a 1/3rd of the bottle to steady the hands for the handheld shot? :)

Believe it or not I have had this botle for the last 12 years and have only drunk the amount shown. Shot using the Gitzo and Markins head. I can’t see any grain this end Kipper, but it is Monday

Darn chris
I thought this was an RSS thread about a much anticipated price drop

Anyway while i am here
Product looks tempting and polished enough to trick someone into thinking it's shot in a studio

Regarding the lighting since this is a product shot of liquor which is quite an intimate thing maybe try doing something with several lights to induce shadows reflections and highlights? Perhaps make the scene more intimate by introducing a fireplace and female legs subtly lit in the background?

I saw your 'BLUE' submission i know your skillful at creating moody scenes.

I got a sc29 remote cord for my sb800 on the weekend and took a picture of a transparent bottle, i positioned the sb800 behind the the bottle and got a really nice lighting effect that lit up all the textures in the bottle from behind

Chris a good exmple of what this lens can do. I too note some graininess but that might just be my work monitor, and I have to say that if that is all you have drunk in twelve years ............................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................Shame on you

Personally I don't think it gets better with age. I could be wrong though. I thought to mature, they need to be in wood barrels or something.

Recalling recent food shooting discussion, I suppose it might be just motor oil in the bottle :)

Clearly you haven't been inviting the right people round for a tipple

Chri it looks even better on my home monitor. You really have to look hard to see any grain.

Actually anyone who likes a tipple is invited round - I need to get rid of all of my booze before I move again
