Ahoy hoy,

I actually posted this minutes before yesterdays hacking attack, so I'll be brief.

Had a few problems with the day, mainly very changing light through the skylight. It ended up extremely bad lightig inside and even with 800 ISO could still only manage shutter speeds around the 120 - 200 mark.

Still, managed to get a few semi decent shots. Will upload them all later, but for now, these three will have to do.

PP just some saturation, brightness and reducing for web.

Hope they look okay. Comments comments comments please.

On a happy note, the organiser of Central West Volleyball has asked me to be the 'official' photographer for volleyball in the region. Don't know what that means yet :)

yes i know how difficult it is to get volleyball shots... the lighting in my sports hall is terrible, as the "official" photographer you should be able to use flash at times .. with the referee and captains permission ?

hope to see more of these from you

cheers rob

I would prefer not to use the flash. As a player I know it would sh!t me if I missed a spike or set because some photographer used a flash. I was going to try rotating the flash head away from the player striking the ball, but then I realised this only blinded the receiving player. I guess I'l need to seriously consider using a higher ISO, maybe up to 1600, the use noise ninja to get rid of the noise.

I live and learn.
