Recently went to Mutchilba, north-west of Cairns, in the tablelands to visit my brother. Early winter's morning, crisp clean air, dominating irrigation boom, heavy mist, ploughed field and a little time on my hands.... I just couldn't resist. Would value your comments on a few in the set. I have noticed however that the images once uploaded to pixspot don't seem to have the punch they do when viewed on my screen. Anyone with any ideas?
Will be leaving tomorrow night for a 2 week trip to the gulf so I probably won't get to respond till i get back. Hopefully I'll get to practice with my virgin 80-400VR. This is my experimentation with stubbsy's embedding an image process, thanks stubbsy. I'll just need to refine for quality. Thanks in advance.

Irrigation Booms fascinate me. I always see them in fields when I'm down Warnambool way. I like all except the last, just seems out of place in the series


1st, 2nd and 4th are my fav. Mainly because the lines of the boom are leading you into a void (the fog). Plus because they disappear into the void, there seems to be a sense of it never ending.

About right normally, Birddog, but this time it was quite cold.
You don't get much time before mist and the moment depart.

Actually I was on my way home to do some fencing when I saw the opportunity with mist and rainbow. It was a real grab shot.

Thanks wendellt. I am in truth a neanderthal in terms of artistic flare. I just do it by the numbers. I am trying to learn to SEE more creatively in my photography but its hard work, for me anyway, but I thank you for the kind comment. I'm pleased you enjoyed them.
