Was almost going to toss this but the rider's colour got me thinking so I had a bit of a play in PS.

Original shot at 1/50s @ f/18 using the 18-70 Nikkor at 70mm.

G'day Mark,
That's cetainly worth keeping, the rider would be very interested in that... The pole near the horse's head is a bugger but terrific action shot with good emotion...

Good PP work too! Well done... Looks good... :D

Not bad. Still not decided on the half BW / half colour look (just a personal thing) but I think you have def saved the image.

Actually, I think you've done well with the PP by using the B/W/colour technique to rid of any background distraction and to place focus on the horse and rider. Apart from the pole in front of the horse, as mudder/Andrew has stated, (and really not a big deal) I think this is a bloody nice shot!! :D

Super shot. You've done really well taking the image and the PP works for me too.

Nice shot & PP... IMHO it might have been better if the whole horse had been in colour...

Thanks for the kind comment folks.

I agree the jumping wing is a bit of a pain but something has to hold the rails up and it all a bit too busy to PS out.

I used the slow shutter speed to try and capture the feeling of movement which worked ok. Always a bit tricky but it's all good fun. :D
