Dog or no dog?

Do you think the dog makes or brakes this photo?

I was actually waiting for the dog to finish his business before pressing the shutter, but then I thought... what the heck.
On closer inspection at 100% zoom I think I may have been able to put this in the "Decisive moment" competition

Ho No! This is what happened to Mic with his inversions and to Mattk with his neat & in the middle.
Any chance of getting the site hacked again so that we can loose this thread?

I know you are all probably focused on the other end of the dog, but check out the look of absolute bliss on its face as it drops that Polly Waffle on the lawn!

It looks like the owners have no intention of coming back with a pooper-scooper either!

Mate, that's a Great Dane, you'd need to carry a shovel and a 20 gallon drum with you.

Hi Phillip
I think it breaks the photo, sorry....IMO.

The subject of the photo is obviously the bridge, but as the dog is so small in frame, I don't feel it adds to the shot.

If it was a closer shot of the dog, then perhaps.....

Do you have one without the dog, to compare it to ?

Hi Dave
Actually I don't have one without the dog, but I cloned it out and the photo seemed stangely out of balance. I then cropped the whole of the left side, some from the top and bottom so that the couple were not smack in the centre and came up with this.

Somehow I don't think this photo would have got the same reaction as the original though.
