D50 goes to Movie World .... dial up warning....

Had a day out at Movie World on Friday with the occassionaly significant other and her 4 year old. I haven't been there for about 10 years was amazed at how clean and fresh it still looked after all that time.

I had high hopes of getting some great shots, but with a hyper excited 4 yo leading the way, taking time to consider and compose wasn't really an option most of the time.

Not wanting to "blow" too many potential memories, I chickened out and set the camera to aperture priority auto and f10. Shutter speeds varied between 1/50 and 1/250. Lots of panning as the grand parade moved past. All shots taken with the kit 18-55 lens. Ended up taking almost 150 shots for the day.

I'm loving the results I'm getting from this kit.

Enough waffling...on with the show...hope you enjoy.

JED - this is really a great reminder of an obviously enjoyable day. The quality and depth of colour from the D50 is quite amazing. :D

Thanks everyone.

It is certainly a bright and colourful place with plenty of photo opportunities. May have to do a solo visit one day to try and be a bit more adventurous and creative.

Love the flexibility that shooting in raw gives for pp. Has me wondering why I never tried it with the 5700. Must try it some time if I ever put the d50 down. :D

Cheers, John D

Loose footwear has to be removed otherwise there would be shoes flying eveywhere.
