Oh so close! Just a little slow on the focus!

Another from the zoo today - so close to being perfect I had to share it with you guys...

Just a pity the focusing isn't quite quick enough - the tail is in focus, not the eyes. (Maybe I should claim it's the old back-focus problem!)

Sweet grab, at this resolution I couldn't easily tell if something's not quite in focus, so the whole thing looks good. :-)

Were you using dynamic area, continuous AF? I'm still trying to nail down my "fast-moving-dog-sized-subject" technique...

That's one of the most insanely funny nature images i have seen, the owl looks positively stunned but i can't tell wether your good looks or the camera was the cause.

Classic.

Great shot Sheepie, I have a side on from Toronga that is fairly sharp when I was up there. They're quite hard to capture because of the short distance that they fly makes it hard to predict their path.

Wendell, if that's the most insane you've seen, then you're not looking hard enough :)

Hi Leon
Very nice capture, bird like this is very hard to capture as they fly fast, and look at the cat eyes.

That is really cool, and you've kept his eyes exactly straight too.
