Post processing on most involved changes to brightness, contrast and curves. Reduced for web.

Hi Mate.

It seems like all except the last are very washed out. I think if you increased the contrast of these images they would be better, or even just post them in colour.

The last one is nice, but I'd like to see the colour version of that as well.

There's heaps of places around Central Tablelands to photograph, have you been to Rockley? Trunkey? Burraga? Dogwoods? Peelwood? Gilmandyke? Hobby's Yards?

Lots of history out there, Bathurst is Australia's oldest inland settlement. My GGG Grandfather was one of the original 10 land-grant-ees in the area and lived at Kelso, even before there was a Bathurst.

I'm most probably telling you stuff you already know, sorry about that!

Seriously, 4th one is great in BW, it tells a few stories...

I really like the last one!
Black and white seems to be a method which needs the right subject, and this one really works nicely
The others I've gotta say I'm not hugely keen on though - although I like the way the memorial fades away into the darkness.

My favourite is the gates and the memorial, I can't seem to get the contrast right on the old farmhouse. I don't mind the shed, but it also lacks something.

I have colour images of the memorial, but it's taken at night with very orange light, which I think detracts from it. Makes you focus on the lighting, rather than the structure.

I'm hoping to get a good collection of shots from the surrounding area to sell at local craft fairs. If nothing else it gives me a good excuse to get out and about.

You're right, the surrounding villages are great. I've got a few from Rockley to post yet. I actually got married in the village, so I know it fairly well. It's amazing how nice places can be without you realising until you take a closer look.
