Ok... I got bored again.
The neighbour is the kitten, who seems to enjoy spending its days sleeping on my bed and getting its head rubbed.

1st one is quite good ... except that hand over forehead. Without it and cropped tighter would be a perfect one

Leigh - that’s not a cat it’s a reincarnation of Bastet - the head of a cat and the body of a woman and an associate of the Eye of Ra

A Very emotive and contrived portrayal of your life in a bubble. I can feel your boredom, although the 2nd image visually works the best, it looks like your contemplating more rather than staring into absenseness in a languid mental state. There are some very subtle tones and textures in your arm between the shadows and highlights so overall captured skillfullyand thoughtfully.
I just don't like your hairy leg in the last image I know as a visual cue you probabaly included your hairy leg in the composition because you may have wanted to show the interconnection between man and animal, but i think the look on the felines face already does that. It seems like the feline almost understand you...I for instance am beginning too but each set of images you post about yourself deepens the enigma that surrounds you and your boredom, thus making a challenging set of images.
Excellent work.

Gee Wendell I just looked at this and thought - my god I'm looking at a pic of Leigh in his undies

You've seriously gotta stop looking too hard into images, dude.
Some images are just images.
I shot these because I was bored, not because I was thinking about any psychological issues or whatnot.
And I left my hairy leg in because I didn't want to clone it out.

Thanks Leigh I was starting to get worried about my observational skills.

Well at least i look further...
I think your work deserves to be looked at deeply otherwise what is the point of sharing your vision with the rest of us, if most of us simply don't get it?

Wendell - isn't that the real essence of art though. It's possible for the observer to see something that the artist wasn't consciuoulsy aware of in their work since the observer is viewing the work through the prism of their own experience.

I like the 2 self portraits, #2 is by far the best, IMO. Very nicely done, Leigh.
Sorry, but the cat shot doesn't do it for me.

The only drugs i am on is panadol the easy to swallow rasberry flavour kind.
I think Leigh deeply thinks about the concept behind each shot he just won't admit it on this forum.

If I'm in a studio, I've usually planned each shot.
When I'm out and about, especially when I'm not looking throug hthe viewfinder or planning shots, like all of these ones, then I'm not thinking about them.
I don't think that you have to think about a shot to make it work.

Leigh great shots. I tend to agree that the 3rd of the cat doesn't seem to fit in with the others in the series. I also won't try to provide a psychoanalysis into the shots either or provide some sort of art farty type comments on it. These sort of shots remind me of some articles I was reading in the UK about mono with impact, and how to add drama with lighting. Keep up the good work.
