2 year old kid on the lake, looking at the ducks through the wood bars of the deck as I was putting my camera in the back, so I had to take it quick and hand held with the 70-300mm ED lens. After raw convertion it didn't looked that good with the shake, so I decided to do some pp to make it look like a good photo, and I like the result. What do you guys think?

Looks great :D

Another way I hide oof or camera shake shots is to convert it to b&w and add noise giving it the old documentary feel. of course this only applies and suits certain type of pics.

At this size I don't see any problem with camera shake blur... I print most snapshots at 15 * 11 cms so it doesn't have to be clinically sharp to get good results!

Maybe, like you said, I'm trying to be 100% clinically sharp, but coming from the printing industry as a photo retoucher and color corrector in pursue of the the best possible image for prinmting, I see more mistakes than the average person, kind of picky I guess. This is my first dslr camera ever (bought it a month ago) and still trying to learn how the D70 works.
Thank you guys for your comments.

Marcos,

You have presented a charming picture in which are contained a plethora of narrative possibilities and rewards. The power of the content holds sway over what you or I may consider to be technical inadequacies.

Nevertheless it is reassuring to learn that there is somebody out there with your skills and experience in image evaluation. Seems one of the greatest pitfalls in modern times is PICTORIAL SALVATION BY EXCESSIVE USM, CONTRAST & SATURATION. How I rue the day that so much quality control was passed from the experts in little white dust-coats to the sciolist dilettantes.

I look forward to seeing more work of this calibre. Thank you.
