Two kooks up a tree

Saw these two fellas earlier today, both laughing their heads off (laughing at me I think, never saw a bloke so ugly...)
Second one not quite sharp enough but then again, it's only a Tamron...

Prefer number 1 over number 2, as you said number two isn't as sharp.
I find the sunflare ? or whatever it is in the bottom right a little distracting in pic 1, however I like the bokeh of this shot. (trying to use a new word correctly, please let me know if I am mis using it).
Would of loved a shot with their beaks open mid laugh, rather then smirking at you as they are here.

Yeah , the flare needs to be cloned out but I couldn't be bothered! As for a better shot, I was looking almost straight up at the birds so I couldn't get any closer for a better shot.

Hi Max, good catch with the 2 close together like that.
I think both suffer from being under flashed.
With the first one the background is blown but thats what is going to happen shooting into the sun.
Because you werent able to move the birds to a better perch I think it would have looked better exposing for the strong background light and having your flash providing the main light for this shot.
Birds can be frustrating things to photograph!!
