Posted: Fri Sep 16, 2005 12:26 pmThis is a photo I took from a portrait shoot yesterday. I thought it captured proud Dad looking on. My only query is do you think that Dad is too OOF? I don't but would appreciate feedback.

Posted: Fri Sep 16, 2005 8:14 pmBeautfully exposed and framed, Dad's not too OOF for me, I think if he was sharper he would tend to distract and this directs your eye nicely to the subject but still lets you notice Dad in the background...

With the recent aquisition of the 17-55DX (thanx Birdy and Poon) and the coming soon 70-200VR it's made my job significantly easier. The client hasn't seen all of photos yet but I'm hoping they will be more than pleased!

If anything I feel he may not be out of focus enough.
Pardon me for suggesting such a thing but perhpas there is a chore waiting for the healing Brush with that stray hair across the face. Not enough to be a statement about the weather and too much to be flattering in my humble opinion.

One o fht e lovely things about this shot is that it places the girl's independence and personal identity on a pedestal. There is that glimmer of mischief that distracted my attention from my studies when I was a school boy and a strong sense that she is her own person.
These are qualities that are often elusive of capture in many portraits and you have captured them handsomely here in my estimation. Of special importance is the fact that I do not really sense your own presence or control here - which is also admirable.
