Very nice Jonesy - you've done well for your first attempts. I like them both.

Thnak you everyone... they were shot with the kit lens, its the only one I have at the moment (waiting on Sigma 70-200 from HKS... yes I am on the back order list!) But looking forward to doing it all again. Off to adelaide for weekend so might have to look around while I am there

and sorry John, it was a case of on my way home...camera in car... you know how it goes

Yeah, I really like the second too. The lighting on the wall is what does it for me.

Cheers,
Owen.

Nice one Jonesy, both work well and the exposures are on the money. You might like to try shooting the second one earlier in the night to capture some blue in the sky rather than just black (typically you only have around 45 mins to an hour in which you can do this, but IMO it's worth it). :)

Jonesy, great images!!

may I ask what font you use for your signature and how would I obtain this? I've been looking for something snazzy like that for some time..

Thanks :)

Thanks again everyone

MCWB - I shot them at about 9pm... so it was well and truely dark but I know what you mean and I am making sure I am out just after dusk/dark so that there is still some colour in the sky

Kris - I am at work... but I think it is called 'John Handy', really sorry but cant remember where I picked it up (no doubt a free site or disk)...

Nice work Jonesy.

For your first attempt these are excellent shots, and I like them both a lot.
