I found myself with a few hours to fill on the weekend and, god forbid, went to the botanic gardens at Mt. Tomah, west of Sydney.

Tried my hand at a few flower shots. Fairly happy with them, but if anyone could offer advice etc, it would be much appreciated.

Can't wait for the V8's to get back my masculinity!!!!









If anyone finds this stuff interesting, I suggest you try to get to the gardens in the next few weeks. It's entirely in flower and gives a great opportunity for bug and flower shots. (lets you get in touch with your femine side also... )

Really nice flower shots there. Lots of colour and use of bokeh.

Thanks mate. I am surprised that I enjoyed this, quite different to what I enjoy away from the camera.

I'll have to try and get more of the flower in focus, maybe close the aperture a bit to reduce DOF. Don't know, will have to try I suppose. It's not like film costs anything...
