Yeah, I know, it's another duck shot, but I thought the double reflection was kinda cool.... :-)

Kerry - apart from the Duck pic which is great BTW, would it be possible for you to do a short review of the Sigma 100-300 f/4 on a new thread - your impressions would be appreciated :D

Sure. 8)

The mini-review is that the 100-300 f/4 EX is simply a larger version of the venerable Sigma 70-200 f/2.8 EX.

That's really the only difference that I've noticed, other than the fact that it's more difficult to hand hold at 300mm than it is at 200mm. :)

IMO, the 100-300 f/4 would be a better lens for a lot of folks, specifically those that are constantly shooting at 200mm and don't need/want the shallow DOF at closer distances that you can get with the 1 stop difference afforded by the 70-200.

It's a very nice lens, IMO. I've got some shots from yesterday that need processing and will post them along with some of my other 100-300 shots for you, over the next few days.

Why aren't you lusting after the Bigma or the 80-400? They aren't that much more expensive than the 100-300, IIRC.

Chris, here's a couple of pics to give you an idea as to the relative sizes of some of these lenses.
