Luna Park - 20mm tired trot? *DU warning*More again, but thsi time from Luna Park.
I'm all alone, there's nobody here but me....(try panning a ferris wheel ) A potential decisive moment? I didn't notice the bird in the frame as well until before. At least someone's enjoying the ride...sorta No that's not a ferris wheel. I really dislike it when people just won't move....even when they see your flash going off :S Hassy, Leica, Nikon, iPhone

Wayne,
Like others the comp theme jumped out at me here. #3 - I really like the colours, the composition and the sharpness of this one. Last one - Melbourne's face is much more evil looking than the one in Sydney (much better than Sydney IMHO) and the cale is better. I also like the fact he has bad teeth. I must be one sick puppy. PS and it's that lens again. Tossing up between the 20 & the 28 primes Peter

Thanks everyone...and I'm still wondering why converting to jpg lost the vibrancy and colours when I was viewing it in Raw Essentials
Peter, I was tossing up b/ween the 20mm and the 24mm. My deciding factor was the fact that the 20mm has been reviewed and rated as one of the sharpest Nikkor lenses out there, and something I've seen can be backed up, plus I took into consideration the 1.5x on the D70. With the 20mm it essentially becomes 30mm and with a 24, it becomes 36mm. 6mm doesn't sound like a lot to lose, but for me I've been in narrow spaces quite a few times and the 18mm on the kit lens JUST did it for me. I was hesitant about paying the few extra $$ for the 20mm, but from what I've seen so far it's definitely well worth it. Hassy, Leica, Nikon, iPhone

Piro,
These all screamed comp theme to me, and I probably would have keep them to myself. One of my first thoughts for the theme was fairground attractions. That said I like these shots, with 1 being the standout. Matt
Thanks for the info Wayne. On the matter of vibrancy - this isn't an AdobeRGB vs sRGB issue is it? Peter

Thanks Matt I didn't really think it was that great for the comp/s so thought I'd just post it up anyway.
Peter, That's what I thought but for some reason if i convert to 16 bit tiff, then batch it to 8 bit jpeg @ 72 dpi, the colours are much better....i'm not sure what's going on. Hassy, Leica, Nikon, iPhone
