Anyone have a Sigma 170-500/6.3 EF?

I'm tossing up buying a Sigma 170-500/6.3 and wondering if there's anyone local that might be willing to let me have a brief play with it? Ideally a Canon mount or half an hour or so of swapping cameras too :) I'm not really a fan of going into G&V to test something then buying it elsewhere.

I've tried the f/8 version and wasn't too impressed, but the reviews say the new one is significantly better.
