My wife Katie and I would love to come. I did however injure my ankle at work today, so I don't kmow if I'll be up to it. I've only been a member a short while, is it okay to join you? Love to meet some of the familiar names!

The duration of membership is not an issue. It will be great to catch up with you, but be warned there will be lots of gear to lust  :D

Yes it's still on.

Just in case you haven't read the original thread where we discussed the location for this event, the idea is we will all be meeting at Cataract Dam and bringing our own food. As you can see from this link that Andrew posted earlier in the thread, and as Leon says, the Dam doesn't open until 10:00 am. I suggest we all meet at 10:30 am at the picnic grounds. We have some big D70Users.com banners we'll put up so you can find us even if you haven't met us face to face.

Here it is on the third page of this thread.

Have a nice day guys. Wish I was there. Unfortunately our bi-annual family get together is tomorrow... (It takes 2 years of kicking and screaming to get us all at the one place at the same time  )
If I'm alone in a forest and my wife is not around to hear what I say, am I still wrong ??

Not so sure about the subject matter in the first image, Paul.

Butthe second one is extra special.

Thanx for joining us - you too, Keith. I hope that y'all enjoyed the day as much as the rest of us did.

Paul

Two things first:

1. Best place to put your wonderful images is in their own thread (although here is OK too) since more people are likely to see them

2. To embed your image in a post use img around the .jpg reference eg here's the one of Gary. Have a read of this post and it should be helpful.

Image

As to the images themselves. I'm impressed with that first one since it makes Gary seem almost gentle. I do think a touch more contrast might make it even better. I like the second one, but find the large expanse of rock on the right distracting.

Finally I must say it was great to catch up with both you and with Keith and hope it wasn't too daunting for you as first timers.

Hey guys,

Sorry for the no show and for the lack of notification. I had to travel to Melbourne for work immediately after returning from Albury on Thursday afternoon.

More importantly, I hope y'all had a great day.

Paul, I really like the second photo. Nice work - well done.

Thanks for the comments. It was a little daunting at first, mostly on the way down, but once we were there, everyone made us feel very welcome. Kudos to the community members here who turned up and did so. Look forward to catching up again soon.
