Have a short attention span (I put this first for you )? Like insanely powerful cars burning rubber then zooming off in a straight line? Then this is the sport for you.

Western Suburbs International Dragway is hosting "Nitro Thunder', with all major categories of dragsters represented. Boxing day is qualifying day (click for schedule (pdf)), and the 27th is race day (click for schedule (pdf)). Gates open at 12 pm each day, racing starts at 1pm and finishes at 9pm, with Top Fuel passes at 5, 7 and 9pm. Cost for general admission is $50 for 1 day or $80 for two.

I think I'll go (with Gladys) on the 27th, if people are going to be there. Not sure about Boxing Day, might give that a miss and just watch the Eliminations and Finals on the 27th.
