WW in Sydney - wants to have din on Tuesday night (18th)

Postby Willy wombat on Mon Jul 17, 2006 1:22 pm

Hi guys

I am up in Sydney this week - staying in Darling Harbour and am interested in meeting up with interested members for a meal and potential shoot on Tuesday night (18 July). Im a bit limited in that I have no tripod with me so night shooting may be hard, but im sure something can be arranged.

Let me know if you are keen by responding here. PS: I am having fun too, I have allready been to the Chinese gardens down the road and walked up to the the botanical gardens this morning. Mmm fruit bats

Cheers
Steve

You guys must be a busy lot. Guess I didnt really give you much warning though. Im going to be working most of tomorrow but if someone decides they can make it let me know tomorrow morning.

Otherwise that beer in the marble bar will have to wait for another time.

I don't think that's really it.

Sydney is a bitch of a city to get around in. First of all, it spreads out very wide (e.g. Blacktown, the geographical centre of Sydney metro is about 40km from the beaches). Public transport is a mess, and road traffic is a mess, too.

I work in North Ryde, and would love to come and meet you at Darling Harbour, but on a weekday evening it is going to be a nightmare getting there, and finding a carpark. There is no public transport to speak of where I work, unless I want to spend 1+ hours on the bus.

That's the reality we're facing: the population of a city and the infrastructure of a village. Your best bet is people working around the CBD, they can walk to Darling Harbour....

Cheers
Steffen.

I'm a Bondi person so, while I can't exactly eat out or spend much (I can probably do a Chinatown soup   ), I could probably come out.
