Sydney MaxiMeet Feb 16, 2008

Postby gstark on Thu Nov 22, 2007 10:14 pm

We're holding a maximeet on February 16, and the primary feature of the day will be, by popular request, a photoshop tutorial, to be given by Matt K.

Please indicate your interest in this thread.

We'll have lighting and other stuff to play with as well, so in your EOI, please indicate also that you want to join in Matt's workshop.

Thank you to Manda and Sheepie for providing the venue, and to Matt K for his time and knowledge.

I would be interested in Matt's workshop and the other activities. I'd be coming from out of town, so if it was possible to make it a full day Saturday, half day Sunday that would be great for my flight bookings.

I'm a "possible" at the moment

Leon, David will not be impressed at my absence from the cricket field, realising the loss, albeit for one day, to the game of cricket my absence would realise. Mind you, I am sure we play in different comps.

I'm very interested in this, especially the workshop. Unfortunately it's on the day after my girlfriends birthday, so could have some issues. Any idea what time the workshop will be? I can probably swing a half day...

- How to increase you forum post-count without really trying

- Your D300 - it can be used to take photos, too!

Don't worry Joe, by the time February 16 comes along, Chryssine will have forgotten about the D300 and you will be on speaking terms again and you'll be able to bring her along.

I may even try and make it for Matt's workshop.

OK folks - time to take stock of where we're at - looks like we've got a huge amount of interest for this!

Let's hold fire for a little bit while I work out some logistics, and how many we've got interested. We'll then get back once we've worked out how many we can take :)

Hi all,

It's been a while... I'd love to come if it's not too late and there's enough room for me. It'd be great to catch up with everyone again and meet new people.

I'll keep an eye open on this thread and private messages.

For those who are interested in the Photoshop course....I will be demonstrating a workflow using Photoshop CS3. I will also cover the use of each tool and show how that tool can be used to enhance or alter an image. The workshop is not for those who regularly use Photoshop, it is for those who have just obtained the program or who are thinking about buying it. It will give you an overview of the power of raster based digital imaging using ADOBEs flagship software. For those who already use Photoshop I am planning an advanced course for a later date.So hold off! The course will have value for those using Photoshop ver 7 or better.
I run best on caffeine and positive feedback. Given just a little of each it will be an excellent Maxi-meet!
