Tennis Anyone? - EOI

Postby Geoff on Sun Mar 30, 2008 2:56 pm

I was having a think (it does happen from time to time) and though it'd be fun to have a tennis morning/afternoon for anyone on the forum that be interested, and for those who are not so inclined, could come and along and take images of those who try to (humiliate) themselves.

The event location, date and time is yet to be decided but I'd think somewhere close to one side of the bridge, so to make it easy for all who wish to attend.

We could follow this with a brunch/bbq and make more of a day/family event of it.

Please respond in this thread if you're keen. I'm also willing to hear your thoughts/suggestions in what could be a fun Sunday/Saturday event. I think it'd be at least early May before we got it off the ground.

Cheers.

I can just see it now, a heap of togs with long lenses bunched up together while passers by try to figure out who the obviously very important players are.

I don't have very fond memories of tennis Geoff, Last time I played was about 30 years ago, tried to be a gentleman and hit the ball down the middle of the court to my wife (then girlfriend) who naturally hit it back side to side and let me do all the running. :D
Now if it was Table tennis, that would be a different story.

Sounds like a great idea to me.

Timing is an issue ...

Following from Phillip's observation ... White City? :)

White City sounds like a good location Gary.
Not much interest here as yet, but it's early days.
Early to mid May I was hoping for, before it gets colder.
