Wedding Shoot locations in NW Sydney?

Postby dviv on Fri Nov 14, 2008 6:31 pm

Hi all,

A friend is getting married in the Baulkham Hills/Castle Hill area and asked if I know any good spots do do wedding shoots.

I don't  So I said I'd ask here.

Thanks all

David

David, I took my Caddy out to a wedding somewhere west of Parramatta 6 or 7 years back to a park called Nurragingy, about as photographic as anywhere one could imagine without a harbour or sea view. Don't be put off by the address, it is very photogenic. You actually had to book the waterfalls or wharfs by the hour, it was that busy with weddings!

Some links I found:

Personally I thought it was one of the best projects by a council for its local area I had ever seen, no need to drive down to Hickson Road and take Opera House pics

What about Old Government House at Parra Park? (It has been a very long while since I have been there, but I think that is what it's called).

Another one could be Swanes Nursery in Dural, I think - whilst they are a nursery, I think they have big garden type areas. Again, it has been ages since I have been there.

I will ask my family - they live in the Baulko/Castle Hill area.
Regards, Patrick

Rose gardens on Roxborough Pk Rd are popular ( if its the right time of year, like now !)

Thanks Scott,

The wedding was last Sunday, so unfortunately too late. But the tip is appreciated
