Johnny Barker is a Sydney- based street photographer whose work focuses on Central Station and the
surrounding suburbs of Surry Hills, Redfern, Waterloo and the southern end of the city.

On the Streets of Surry Hills is a photographic study that explores the concepts of place and the use of inner city spaces.

His photos have featured on the artwork of CDs for singersongwriters such as Perry Keyes and L.J. Hill, and a book of his photographs was released in conjunction with Perry Keyes’ latest CD, Johnny Ray’s Downtown earlier this year. In 2009, his image Between Shadows won a national Anti-Poverty photo competition.

An outstanding documentary photographer, Johnny Barker’s photographs have been acquired by the City of Sydney Archives.
