Great idea. Count me in - no 4Wd here (don't think my Mazda6 would take too kindly to the sand  )

I'm interested, but I would only be able to do Saturday 9th. So if you were doing the expedition on the Saturday, I'm in, but I would need a ride, no 4WD, I won't have the Subary that day :-(. If not much is going on for the Saturday, next time for me :)

Thanks,

André

- Photography talk
- Evaluation lenses, gears, tripods, heads.

We can do some bird, beaches, rock shooting until 11:00am, waiting for the arrival of Sydney members, then we will have a quick light lunch prior to heading off to the Stockton beach, sand dunes at 12:00.
It'll take three hours or more to do this trip, BYO your liking so we can have snack, break during this excursion.

Hi,

just a note for those taking their 4WD on Stockton beach. You will need a day pass to drive on the beach. See the PDF for selling agents:
http://portstephens.local-e.nsw.gov.au/files/39202/File/Agents2005.pdf

It is $5.00 and it is good for the weekend. More info at:

André

not sure about our plans at this stage - maybe stay in Newcastle rather than Port Stephens, depends on costs. Most probably won't be joining for dinner even if we're staying there :(

Accomodation in Anna Bay or many motels, caravan parks in the area are not bad atm, cos it's the low season, you can find something around $55.00/ night.

No worries - we can make our own fun. Already booked and paid, so no pulling out now ;)
The weather may put a little dampener on things (hopefully only a little!), but it can also make for some really nice shots. Don't let it put you off!
