I have some "special mission" around the Rocks and City tomorrow evening after 9:00PM, I'll have to hang around those areas until 1:00am Saturday morning, who want to join me a night out shooting?
And perhaps late supper at Chinatown before we head home.

I'd love to have joined you Birdy (especially as I don't have a 10-second shot yet and haven't used my Gitzo yet), but I really can't make it tomorrow night... Stay safe - The Rocks on a Friday night can be quite a wild place...

Take care out there...there's lots of 'doosh-doosh' cars racing around there at night.

I was orginally going to go from work (Pyrmont) into the City, due to the forecast wet weather I've left my gear at home, if it clears up tonight I'll come in from Mortdale (after dinner)..... don't want to risk getting caught in the rain.

OK, if the weather is not in our favour then don't waste your time, stay home and have REDs instead of.

Life sucks. Never done a night shoot in Sydney. I'm taking the afternoon off work to drive down from Newcastle and what happens Sydney's forecast is for showers developing in the afternoon and not clearing till Saturday morning
I thought it never rained in Sydney!

Peter
When it rains sydney is at it's most photogenic well at least at night
the roads sparkle with a flurry of haphazard melange of clashing colours, the night sky is illuminated by the ambient light from the sydney cityscape
romance is evident in the moist misty air, it's slippery wet, seductive and sexy. Just add water and alcohol to a long week and things go wild!
it will be a blast!
So Birddog are we still on, i am at the rocks now and it's overcast with a hint of iminent precipitation.
If it does rain around 9:00pm and does not stop raining i guess we have to pull out unless you plan to shoot indoors at the many pubs in the rocks.
but if it does rain and then stops at 9:00pm onwards that would be just perfect!

I'm never worrying about the wet, last two weeks on one week end I shot at Peat Ridges and it rained all day, just know how to care your gears once you're under the shower
Haven't you read a thread long ago, Onyx immersed his D70 at Niagara Falls

you should get some stunning reflections after the rain with your night shots.

I am out there nearly every night midnight marauding
If it rains, hails or pails i will be there with no raincoat and alot of faith that i don't get targeted by a freak flash of lightning.
Now I have to go to an event tonight in surry hills, I will try my best to be at meet point at 9:00 but most likeky sometime past 9:00 will that affect adversely the mission?
out.

Ah an information leak
I think thanh will have to whack your huynie
so we are going to a canon 5D launch, i don't see why it starts late and ends at 1:00pm unless there's going to be a 60's soiree after the formalities.

Ok. How about I ask which hotel it is?
Is it the hotel right at the beginning of The Rocks in Circular Quay or the one way at the end of The Rocks close to being directly under the Bridge and was in the Xbox game Project Gotham 2?
