Lucky - we're with AAMI

Lucky - we're with AAMI

Postby Geoff on Thu Jun 28, 2007 11:09 pm

We recently needed to call on our comprehensive car insurance. We've been insured with AAMI for a few years now. I cannot speak highly enough of their complete customer service from wo to go. This recommendation is not endorced by the company. Kudos when it's deserved. I'd have absolutely no hesitation recommending them at least for car insurance.

I have a bit of a thing for the AAMI girl on the TV ad. :)

Good to hear you had no problems Geoff. I can also vouch for Western QBE as the TWO claims I have had with them have been trouble-free, and I wasn't even in the country when my car was damaged, both times. (Long story)

I am happy that Bel is ok & you got a good resolution with your insurance.

That's reassuring..I have contents and car with AAMI and people keep telling me I'm an idiot!

A friend had a horror claim with them that dragged out for over 6 months but it involved a somewhat rare Supra (he he, I use the word "rare" very reluctantly!!) and agreeing on replacement price + more...it's a long story, I won't go into it :)

Ok...
Bel's accident was last Tuesday, we had the money for it's replacement in our account the following Monday morning.

Great outcome Geoff. Good to see that some insurers are still out there to look after their customers!

And Steve, which AAMI girl, there have been a couple of them if I recall correctly...

I am have also had to claim from AAMI twice: once when someone tried to steal my car and broke the steering column in the process, and once when a truck drove into the back of my car while I was stopped at a red light.

Both times have been fairly painless, although I wasn't happy with the smash repairs following the truck incident (my boot was leaking in the rain), but they honoured their life-time guarantee policy and sent it back. It's been fine since then. Overall I would recommend them.
Cheers,

I've had to use them twice when the missus has run into stuff, they were tops both times.
