Hi everyone,
I've just joined up and i'm looking to purchase a D70 after drooling over Geoff's
I was debating between the Canon 300D and the D70, but finding this community and holding the D70 in my hand has swayed me. Anyway, I was wondering if anyone knows anything about an ebay seller called thatsverynice. They have a D70 for sale here:
http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll ... 0&tc=photo
Looks like a great deal, plus the fact they have great feedback and are a square trade member is helping too...
Has anyone dealt with them in the past?
Cheers,
Jon

jon,
This is the imported product, does not have warranty in Australia.
You can get from our preffered supplier at $1550.00 same as the deal on ebay link, pick it up from Sydney, same as no warranrty from Nikon/ Maxwell.
Warranty provided by HK Supplies.
Pls. PM me if you want to know more info.

G'day Jon, you're in luck cos Geoff is one of the very first people to join these forums. Thus he, having introduced you to the D70 and these forums, you'll no doubt receive extra special attention from the outright. I strongly suggest you contact Birddog as he's offered above.

Jon,
Welcome, and it's a good idea to talk with Birddog. I doubt you'll be disappointed.
And I'm glad to see that my son is using the fire extinguisher on the server. It's far better than the Bazza McKenzie method of fire extinguishment.

Jon,
Reading the feedback on the sellers ebay site of other buyers purchases, GST had to be added. Therefore, the price of AU$1549.00 you need to add GST (AU$154.90) amount payable = AU$1703.90.
I would agree with Birddog, gray market (import) no Australian Warranty.
Cheers,
fozzie

Thanks for the warm welcome (sorry, another fire pun in there...) PS - Not heard of the Bazza McKenzie method, but I think I can work it out - would it be helped by the consumption of beer?? Definately not healthy for the server, or the fireman!
