Poraday - Nikon Service in Sydney

I had the shutter collapse in my D70. Contacted Poroday who quoted approximately $200 and 1.5 weeks to fix. Came back fixed with a clean sensor no less for $254 which included the new shutter and sequencing motor which they said often needs replacing and is only $13 when they are in there. All in all I was very happy with the service.

I sent the camera over by courier and rang ten working days later. The camera was ready, they notify clients by email and as my letter had all my details except email they had not yet contacted me. So make sure you leave your email for fastest service.

Ph (02) 9387 4088 and in Bondi Rd, Bondi

This might be a handy price guide for those wondering what to allow for a potential shutter collapse on a D70.

Good you are back in one piece Wendell, how was the trip?

It was painful Gary, especially with the D300 announced but unavailable it was a particularly poor time to have a breakdown. Especially only having one Dslr body

Good stuff, my trusty D70s is outliving the expected 50K, but... for how long?

How many clicks Glen? I've been wondering whether mine will make it till D300 time (which will probably be next year). I've also only got one body, and it's not lasting too well.... (The D70's OK though)

Cheers
