Newer members often state that they think their question is too basic, or stupid, or whatever, to be posted. Nothing could be further further from the truth in any section at DSLRUsers.com, but especially here. Don't feel intimidated. The only stupid question is the one that remains unasked. We were all beginners at one stage, and even the most experienced amongst us will admit to learning new stuff on a daily basis. Ask away! Please also refer to the forum rules and the portal page

Signatures again

Look, be gentle. I've read the FAQ (really), done a search of the forums, and looked really hard at the Profile page, which is where you're suppose to be able to add some canned Signature text to each post, right? But the only relevant line is "Always attach my signature" - I've got Yes clicked, but there's no actual field to type in a signature. There's an avatar section at the bottom of the Profile page, but not a Signature section. Honest. Is it just my Profile page that's missing this? Please help.

You should have a Signature field.

It'd under the Occupation and Interests fields in the middle of the page.

I'm not seeing any problems with your account.

Actually, you won't see the signature field until you've made 30 posts.

Likewise for your website.

It's a part of some of the anti-spam measures that we have in place here, to prevent things like automatic scripted registrations and the like.

OK, that's the explanation. I'll make some more posts! This qualification might be useful in the FAQ :)

Many thanks.

If you really want one, PM one of the admins... which would be Gstark or myself, and we'll add it in for you.
