Sensor cleaning

Newer members often state that they think their question is too basic, or stupid, or whatever, to be posted. Nothing could be further further from the truth in any section at DSLRUsers.com, but especially here. Don't feel intimidated. The only stupid question is the one that remains unasked. Birddog, with the D2X can you confirm if the optional AC powerpack must be purchased to clean the CCD? Is there a way around it in a "pinch" or is that not advisable?

Not neccessary with the AC adapter, setting it in BULB mode and do it as I did with the D100/ D2h/ D2x.
