SB800 Question

Newer members often state that they think their question is too basic, or stupid, or whatever, to be posted. Nothing could be further further from the truth in any section at DSLRUsers.com, but especially here. Don't feel intimidated. The only stupid question is the one that remains unasked. SB800 Question

Ok hi all i have a ? for those who know more about this flash. I think i remember reading and maybe i might have to do some more but for shooting things at a distance like more than say 5mtrs or more away you would say use i think GN, i tried this and seemed to be ok but i would set it to lats say 9mtrs and up the output and when i take the shots i find i have to reset it all again.

I have MotoX and Freestyle next weekend and i think some of this runs into early nite so i will need flash, any susgestions???

Hmm interesting John, I've never set mine to anything but AA, TTL or TTL-BL. Will these not work for some reason? Still not exactly a SB800 master myself.

Thanks mate i might have to have a read of the book, just was strange that i had to keep setting it. I too always leave it on TTL BL but yeh just thought someone might know as i have not played with this much.
