All,

Just starting out in DSLR and would like to pickup some newbie training. I manage to get a Canon 350D body with a 17-85mm IS USM lense. It is a good place for me to start.

As the camera has a wealth of options I would liek to understand more about its functions and photography in general.

Can anyone recommend a course in brisbane? Im not looking for certification, although would consider it. Its more about getting the most out of my gear.

cheers.

Hi Outcast and welcome to the forum.

We're slowly building our numbers of Canon users so you'll be amongst like-minded individuals.

I'm afraid I can't help you with a direct answer to your question but might suggest you have a look at the Brisbane Camera Group website, and perhaps come along to their Digital Subgroup meetings. Lots of Canon users there and a wealth of information and advice available.

One of our other Brisbane members here, DionM, is a bit of an expert on most things Canon and could probably assist with technical matters as well.

Enjoy the forum, post some pics and don't forget to put your location in your profile so we know where you are.

Cheers.

Hey Outcast,
thats a great setup, and the 17-85is lens is great for most situations.
You will get some stunning results with that lens.
