I've decided to create my favourite shots of 2005 using momento printing.
I was just wondering if the D70 can handle a A3 print or double A3 print easily?
Thanks

handles a3 no worries.. i think an a3 print size is possible from a 3mp camera.. so the d70 will have no worries

if your image is sharp, you could get a print bigger than a metre......

Nito,
The D70 easily handles printing at A3+ on our Epson 1800 printer, and the qualoty is superb.
Gopher it.

I was think of a double A3 page pano print, but was worried that 6MP isnt enough
I like landscape shots.
Judging from the responses, I am truely excited over this possiblity.

If you're worried at all, play with interpolation software to get it up in the higher dpi range for yourself.

I have just done a 75cm x 50cm colour print for a client from a 35mm transparency scanned as a 17.5mb tiff file, the print looked good, but the quality I get from my D70 is so much better at around the same size.........

Stubbsy, please correct me if I'm wrong as you've completed one of these (and a stunner at that!).
I understand you can print your momento book (with watermarks) for proofing before submitting it for printing, so perhaps nito can reassure himself as to quality that way.
I've downloaded the software and started my book, but I'm not up to that bit yet.

I just printed a 1.3m high by 3.1m wide image of two photos joined and I think that’s the limit of looking acceptable for my d70.
That said I also printed a 2.4 x 4.8m image for a billboard, taken with I believe some 8mp Sony, I increased the print size in Photoshop which took about an hour, and the biggest problem with the print is that the blemishes on the girls face meant that zits were the size of your fist, something that didn’t seem to obvious on an a4 print.

John - tell the kids to be more careful when holding the print. They've knocked poor Loris off his bike with all their jiggling around!

You can print from a D70 at any size. There is no limit. The important part of the equation is how far will the viewer be from the print?
