Run the Web Gallery function in Photoshop and change the image sizes to a custom size.

Dan,

If upload limits/speed are not a problem for you, then you could always take the lazy approach and upload the full-sized image to Smugmug... Smugmug then automatically creates small, medium, large versions of the image for display... The large version coincidentally meets the 800 pixel on the widest side restriction of this site...

Alternatively, if you use Photoshop / Bridge, then you could use the Image Processor by selecting multiple images in Bridge and then going to the Tools --> Photoshop --> Image Processor option... the rest should mainly be self explanatory, but in the Resize to Fit section, type Width 800 Height 800 and the photo will be resized to fit 800 on the longest edge (regardless of whether it is landscape or portrait orientation)... This method will also do a quick & dirty RAW conversion for you as well...
Cheers, John
