Members area

Newer members often state that they think their question is too basic, or stupid, or whatever, to be posted. Nothing could be further further from the truth in any section at DSLRUsers.com, but especially here. Don't feel intimidated. The only stupid question is the one that remains unasked. We were all beginners at one stage, and even the most experienced amongst us will admit to learning new stuff on a daily basis. Ask away! Please also refer to the forum rules and the portal page

Hi - I know this is a really simple question (and time didn't permit to do a thorough search) - how do I get posting access to the Members section?

Cheers

To get access to the members area you need to have made at least 50 meaningful posts and submitted at least 1 image for critique. This is a rough guideline as attendance at a photo meet (see calendar on the front page) can accelerate this process.

I also suggest you may find the FAQ (accessible from the front page) a useful guide on this and a number of other matters. Good news is you're about 20% there on the posts

You also need to be a member here for about a month.

None of the numbers are hard and fast: we like to get to know people first, as we view ourselves as a community, and it's legitimate community participation that we value most of all.

Gary - I completely understand. My post was triggered by a desire to post on the Coffee Machine thread in the Food & Wine forum - coffee is as much a passion (and drain of funds) for me as photography is  I have taken about 1000 shots of coffee related things from coffee cups, espresso shots, machines, etc.

I will be patient! (and try not to get booted off in the meantime 8) )
