What is PP??

I see it everywhere. I am sure it has something to do with digital manipulation. But what exactly does PP stand for? I have figured it out yet.

Post proccessing...

The most common action is to adjust the levels which is akin to changing the development time for an under exposed shot.

Other actions could be white ballance, sharpening etc....

ahhhh totally makes sense!! I thought it was an actual program like PS. I thought maybe in Australia they called it PP.... :roll:

If you see it written in the context of Nikon PP software, then it's referring to Picture Project - that useless piece of software that came bundled with the camera. Nikon View is a much better (still free) alternative to Picture Project, available for download on Nikon support sites.

okay.. time for some bad humour...

PP is something you patiently teach your children to do in the potty for a couple of years...
