Hi All

Here is a recommended text for new photographers, like myself.

It is called

"The workbook of photo techniques" written by John Hedgecoe and Mitchell Beazley" 1985 Reed International books.

Paid $8.00 at an excellent Coolangatta second hand bokstore. Admittedly the workbook is written for film cameras but most of the techniques contained in the workbook would, I imagine, work equally well with the D70.

If any South East Queensland / Northern NSW members would like to borrow this book, please PM me. It will be available in February.

Cheers

Graham

thank you for that.

I devour photographic books, of all kinds. Perhaps my local library will have it, although I think I have read everything they have ...

I have 2 books here that I consider essential reading. Had them both for ages, way before the advent of DSLR.

The first one is Julian Calder and John Garrett's "35mm Photographers Handbook" first published in 1979 (my edition 1986) and the other is Michael Langford's "35mm Handbook" first published in 1983 (my edition 1987). They are both still in print, as I matter of fact I noticed them the other day at a Dymocks bookstore.

If anyone in Sydney wants to borrow them, let me know and I'll take them to the next mini-meet that I manage to get to.

I've seen those books at the library, they're great, invaluble knowledge.
