To calibrate your monitor against your printer profile.

It's an example of a Kodak colour chart and is used as a reference to evaluate your exposure and colour accuracy. You include the chart in your first shot of, say, a portrait or a product shot....or any shot where colour fidelity is important. You then remove the card and shoot away. You can then use the first frame in Photoshop to adjust the colour balace by using the grey part of the chart as a point sample with the curves tool. (Click on the middle eyedropper and click on the grey part of the chart). Photoshop will automatically adjust the colour of the image to match the chart. You can also compare colours on the chart with colours on the first print that you might get processed through a lab. The colours should match.

Which means I have to print it accurately first. I have a grey card already so I can use my grey card for this purpose.

Any good link for doing this?

Search around the forum and web in regards to colour calibration. It should come out with plenty of resources to read. Unfortunately, I dont have any direct links to calibration guides.

I would advise buying one however it would not be difficult to print a fairly accurate copy because of the neutral grey in the image. There are a number of variations of these type of references with the Greta Macbeth colour chart being very popular, but expensive. An 18% grey card is also invaluable as a reference.
