Hi I was taking pics of my baby and wanted to add like a mist or fog around the outside/bottom of the image.

I have had some pro pics of my other children done with this effect.

GHe used a filter on the camera, Iwas after some sort of photoshop filter/brush or something.

Thanks

MATT

See if this works
Open your image...go to WINDOW/LAYERS and click on new adjutment layer...looks lika a ying/yang circle bottom of menu. Click on pattern and when the menu comes up load new pattern/artists surface. (Click lil arrow to load different patterns). Load the white surface on the right hand side. Go to Filter/render/cloud and clik OK...blur the layer...choose a paintbrush with a soft edge from the brush menus and with black as the foreground colour...start painting. Change the foreground colour to white to paint it back.

Matt K., Thanks for your reply.

When I hit load new pattern/artists surface I could not choose a white surface.

So... while I was looking around I found the gradent tool , so rather than pattern I choose gradent (if that makes sense). then choose a paintbrush with a soft edge from the brush menus and with black as the foreground colour...start painting. Change the foreground colour to white to paint it back. As you sugested.

Matt there's also a filter for this in the excellent, but pricey, Nik Color Efex Pro 2 suite for photoshop. With this filter you choose the effect and just paint it on (click the image to see a larger version).

Yeah print at Fuji store in 8x10 , was done at home on the bed trying to match my other 2kids pro fotos, but she hated the photographer and would just cry.
