what is trinity lenses?what is it?
does the term only applied to nikkor lenses?
Re: what is trinity lenses?I've heard this term used to mean 3 lenses that cover all the range you need.
So this term can apply to all camera brands, but perhaps the combination of lenses might be different.
Re: what is trinity lenses?I'm eagerly awaiting more info on this one. I've never heard the term before in relations to lenses.

Re: what is trinity lenses?
Yep, same here. On the Nikon side I have heard the 12-24, 28-70, 70-200 referred to as the "Holy Trinity" of lenses. Now I guess it's 14-24, 24-70 and 70-200. It's a bit misleading though, you should buy the lenses you're going to use frequently and can afford. ![]()
Re: what is trinity lenses? It can be any combination of three lenses that suit your style. For example, a wildlife photographer might choose a 200, 400 and 600mm.
The choice is yours ![]() Chris

Re: what is trinity lenses?
I stand corrected here but I'm pretty sure the Canon "trinity" (eg the most sought after lens in their line up) is : 85/1.2 135/2 200/1.8 (now out of production) However, I have been known to have been wrong, at least my wife tells me so, regularly ... ![]() "You silly twisted boy..." Re: what is trinity lenses?Well if you're a Canon prime user - get all 5
![]() I saw a 200 f1.8 go on ebay this week for >$3K by the Cato 1/2 of Cato and Pade...... And the 200 f2 IS -- is an amazing lens based on a couple of pics posted on another forum by a pro who has one. Looks nice in a std web res, but the crop ![]() ![]() But I like the sirhc55 version the best.
