installing Raw Plugin on PSCS on MACOkay, I have the raw plugin for CS on my desktop, but I can't figure out how to install it. The computer simply won't let me for some reason. I'm on Mac and using PSCS. Can anyone help me with this. Sorry if this has been posted before, I made a search but I couldn't find anything--although I never find anything with search.
(Dave, added the MAC to your title so the right people look at it, Glen)
Dooda,
Copy the plugin to "Applications\Adobe Photoshop CS\Plug-Ins\File Formats" which will overwrite any existing Nikon plugin, and if it does not work, search for "Nikon NEF Plugin.8Bi" (probably in ...\Plug-Ins\Adobe Photoshop Only\File Formats) which needs to be renamed or deleted. This assumes that you have Nikon products installed. PS. First part is in the readme, second part concerning Nikon NEF Plugin.8Bi is Windows experience. Cheers Matt Edit: Whoops! Sorry, misread your post and the problem. Last edited by MattC on Wed Mar 30, 2005 4:53 pm, edited 1 time in total.

1-open finder 2-Hi-light Applications 3-Hi-light photoshopcs 4-Hi Light plugins 5-Hi-Light File format 6- Take out and put onto desktop the camera raw plugin for now, Put in your new camera raw should be Camera Raw 2.3 or 2.4. Restart your computer. 7- Open photoshop and then one of your raw Images the rest is lots of practice Good luck Big Pix Cheers ....bp....

Dave
Big pix is right but if you have PSCS not open (or even open), after installing the plug-in just open (or close and open) PSCS as per normal - there is no need to restart the computer Chris

Thanks Chris, I was not sure about the restart, an old habit from the dark side

Normally you only need a restart on a system dependent component i.e. if you install new software or update software Chris
