Anyone know software to turn a movie on its side? When I got my D70 my wife took over the Olympus C770. It takes MP4 movies. Sometimes she forgets and movies get taken with the camera on its side. Does anyone know of a software program that will allow a MP4 movie to be rotated?
Or do I load it into the computer, play the movie on the computer and film the monitor with the camera at the correct angle? Best I can come up with but I haven't tried it. Adam. Share what you know, learn what you don't.

Some display drivers come with sofdtware that permits you to rotate the display.
Some monitors permit you to rotate them. And you can always just lay the monitor on its side. g.

I know how to do it on a Pocket machine... you ever tried using some video editing software?

Have you ever tried laying a monitor on its side - check the colours!
Better still, if the monitor has been turned off for more than 15 to 20 minutes, turn it upside down turn it on, then turn it up the right way. A nasty trick to play on someone at the office, but make sure they don't log a service call. When the monitor cools down (leave it turned off a while) turn it on again and it will be fine - degauss. Back on topic - I need some video editing software, or the name of it, that will do this - I turn the movies into VCD - Video CDs so they can be sent to the family and they play them in the DVD player. I have checked out the ones I know and none of them seem to have a "rotate movie" function. Anyone know one? Not a D70 issue I know but thought someone might have come across something. Adam.
