Hi,

I'm almost positive ive seen people with this problem before, but can't remember what the hells the problem, and I had a quick search, couldnt find anything.

Ok so i had a NEF shot, edited it converted to jpg, i go set as background, for xp wallpaper and the colour changes? but the colour in the pic remains the same when i look at in in photoshop or just as the xp preview thing?

On a side not, ive been using photoshop etc for years and this have never happened before, and im using CS2, though I really doubt thats the problem, its gotta be something stupid.

Heres a screenshot anyway:

If you're working in Adobe RGB (aRGB) format in PS, make sure you convert to sRGB and then use Save For Web. Well that's what I do and I hardly notice any color discrepancies. I used to not use Convert to Color Profile (sRGB) and used normal Save instead of Save for Web, and I used to have really color changes.

Ok so apparently the method windows used to set desktop wallpapers doesnt support Abobe RGB, but the method windows used to display image previews and inline viewing on images in explorer DOES support it lol.

Ah well problem solved.
