This little update gives you native support for NEF/RAW viewing in Windows XP SP2 thumbnails.

I find it useful and I am not sure if this or other program has been in the other threads before but it is useful for quick preview within native windows folders.

I find it a hassle to open Nikon View or adobe or any other thridparty program to find a program to transfer or to quickly look up a picture.

Saves me time and i think some of you will like it

ip,

That one has been around for a while now :) , and is fine, when it works. It has done absolutely nothing on all three of my XPSP2 computers. I reverted to the very cool Shaun Ivory registry hack to fix what SP2 took away. The file name is NEF.zip and is easy to find using Google if interested. For me it beats installing more Nikon clutter and clunk.

Cheers

Matt

Hi,

at some stage I was able to view NEF thumbnails within explorer on win2k.
I lost that functionality a while ago and haven't got a clue how.
Does anybody run win2k and is able to view NEF in explorer ?

Regards
CD

Christian,

The only fix that I know of for W2K is dpmagic. Find it here:

http://www.dpmagic.com/products.html

Thumbnail functionality is acheived using the community version.

Cheers

The Shaun Ivory fix is much, much better than the Nikon updater IMHO.
