** should i set saturation to enhanced?

** should i set sharpening to medium high.. +1 ??

Again, come to the minimeet ...

We'll show you how some of the differences in those settings affect your images; we'll teach you how to use A S and M modes ...

We'll explain why you should think anbout using raw rather than jpg ...

Bring a small jar and we'll even equip you to clean your camera's sensor!

All the more reason to come along. Do you know how to hold it properly?

Which sort of knowledge would you like to gain - the good stuff, or the other stuff? Get the other stuff, and, just like bad habits whilst driving, you'll need to unlearn it.

Best to start with good habits right from the start, don't you agree?

Seems to me as if you are already well down that path.

MiniMeet

Wish I could come to a mini meet but Australia is just way too far from NJ in the States!! I am a new dSLR trying to be user. I just got the D70s for my birthday on the 4th of July. I am completely overwhelmed but I wanted the camera for the speed. I had used a Coolpix 5400 and enjoy taking photos of my grandson and candid shots of people. I am enjoying this forum.
One question though, my photos look super clear on the computer. On my tv, if I view from the camera they look blurry and pixalated. So I tried to make a quick slideshow using Windows Photo Story and that was poor quality too. My Coolpix 5400 never had that problem. Any advice???

I think you would need to alter the picture resolution to view on your TV (monitor and TV resolution are different with the TV pixel count being a lot less than the monitor).

I think Photoshop allows you to change your images to PAL/NTSC resolution though I can't confirm that (don't have Photoshop with me right now).

I use NTSC as I am in the States but any idea what resolution I need to use? And how come I didn't have to fuss with resolution with the 5400?

im still new with my d70
and still get confused
but if i keep reading and playing things are slowly changing

my advice to you is to start another thread about your question
because this thread is asking a different question
alot of people that may be able to help you
wont even see that you asked this question

Hello Art
thanksfor the email. I did post this under another thread and was asked why I posted twice. At any rate, any suggestions for a subject topic? thanks
